Ninety-Five Affirmations for a Life Empowered by Grace

By on Oct 17, 2017 in Crazy Grace Blog | 0 comments

Five hundred years ago, a young monk struggling to reconcile church practice with what is actually found in Scripture, nailed to the church door a document containing ninety-five statements he was prepared to defend from Scripture. Martin Luther’s 95 Theses began to shake things up in the church. In today’s vernacular, Luther posted his manifesto on social media for public debate. Posting these statements in public opened a dialogue that ultimately changed the course of church history and marked the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. While the Catholic Church promoted the idea of performing good works to earn eternal life, the Protestants maintained that grace alone was necessary for salvation. Protestants began to break away from the Catholic Church to form private churches. Because Martin Luther opened a discussion that changed the course of history, we commemorate the day he...

Who Loves Crossword Puzzles?

By on Jul 17, 2017 in Noah's Archives | 0 comments

As a writer, I enjoy word games of all types, including crossword puzzles. But the ones in the newspaper have ridiculous clues that a normal person couldn’t possibly know. I get frustrated when I can’t fill in the blanks to complete the puzzle. That’s why I made Crossword Bible Studies. They’re challenging enough for an adult, but simple enough for a child because of the fill-in-the-blank format. Each clue comes directly from the text of the Bible (KJV) and the verse reference is at the end of the clue. If you don’t know the answer, simply look up the verse to fill in the blank and complete your puzzle. Guaranteed success!     Want to try a crossword puzzle on the book of Psalms? The Dragon Hollow Trilogy: 99-cents Each for Kindle #SummerReading

By on May 15, 2017 in Crazy Grace Blog | 0 comments

Summer is almost here. Everyone loves playing outdoors and time with friends, but for rainy days or when those summer blahs hit, you might want to be prepared with some good reading for your tweens. My Dragon Hollow books are perfect for ages 9-13 (younger if they read well or if you read it to them, older if they just love fantasy fiction and dragons). Adults who have read them to their kids have enjoyed them just as much as the kids. I’ve had people tell me their kid didn’t like to read and would never finish a book, but when they started reading The Legend of Dragon Hollow, they couldn’t put it down. And girls like the books just as much as boys because there is a strong female character. The books aren’t dark and scary. It’s just an adventure story with lots of humor, sword fights, and dragons! Because the Dragon Hollow Trilogy is great summer reading,...
