God Knows My Name: Never Forgotten, Forever Loved by Beth Redman My rating: 4 of 5 stars I cannot review this book without giving part of my story to explain how I experienced it. During a free Kindle promotion, I downloaded a copy of the book. It sat there for weeks or months and one day, I was browsing and selected it as the book I would read next. Except that was right before Christmas and I received a number of books as gifts so I was reading printed books for several weeks. During a period of depression, I was praying about my need to be seen. I felt invisible because no one seems to notice me. I distinctly felt God say, “I am the God who sees you.” I immediately recognized that as El-Roi, the name God Hagar used after she encountered God in the wilderness when she ran away from an abusive and jealous woman (Genesis 16).
