And what you put in the ground is not the plant that will grow, but only a bare seed of wheat or whatever you are planting. Then God gives it the new body he wants it to have. A different plant grows from each kind of seed.
1 Corinthians 15:37-38
God causes us to grow into exactly who He wants us to become. God nurtures us to become someone new. We grow and change at His pace, according to His plan. We cannot cause ourselves to grow. We merely cooperate with God by receiving the resources He places in our lives for growth. Family, friends, teachers, and even people we don’t like can be part of the process God uses to create growth and change.
Just as a plant no longer resembles the seed, our lives will no longer resemble who we once were. We are growing to become more like Jesus as we allow Him to live through us.
